Our thoughts are the most powerful resource that we have, with our thoughts, we can bring good or bad upon ourselves. They are the one thing you have control over, so we need to stay clear-headed. We can become stressed when in the middle of certain situations, worldly things cause us to think of past similar situations. Many of us dwell on past experiences and continually go over everything that happened and replay events, which causes unneeded havoc in our lives. What you are doing is focusing on the past and keeping it alive in your mind. You get what you focus on in life so by thinking about the past you are recreating it now into your future.
Sometimes in instant situations, we have no control as to what thoughts enter our minds, however, we are able to take control of these thoughts. God’s Word’s help us to recognize our thoughts for what they really are, and how to act (or not act) upon them. Use these Bible verses to help control your thoughts in a way God encourages us to. Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. In 2 Timothy 1:7 7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid but gives us power, love, and self-discipline. A great powerful quote by Napoleon Hill is ‘What the mind can conceive and the heart can believe then you can achieve’. If you think you can do something and truly believe that you can, then you will achieve it. Everything that you are, do and have started with a thought.
What thoughts are you going to choose today? What future do you want? Start choosing those good thoughts now. Choose thoughts that will help you start to move towards overcoming your challenges so that you can get the life that you want. If you want to be more confident you need to start by thinking that you can. The thought you have about a situation will be mixed with your values and beliefs, memories and previous experiences to create an internal meaning or representation. This, in turn, will affect your feelings, your physiology, and state. If your previous experiences are negative then you may feel fearful or upset or stress and worried. This leads on to poor decisions which end up in poor results. You keep repeating the mistakes you have made in the past. Believe it, receive it, by keeping our Faith in God, now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Wow today while preparing this blog Post, Godly thoughts just like the last one about Faith in God came to my mind. Romans 12:2 goes to the heart of the problem and offers God’s solution-“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will. I have also found by studying my Bible more, to renew my mind, when I have problems. I stop and Pray, and have really begun having a lot more Prayers answered, because I would think of scripture promises, stand on them in my Prayer, and for sure know my Prayer will be answered because my Prayer was according to God’s word. I Praise you and I thank you Lord God, and Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior, remember to also finish all your Prayers by thanking God for hearing and answering your Prayer you ask in Jesus Christ name.
The promise of 2 Corinthians 5:17 sounds great, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
